Billy Bush lands new Fox News gig. Here's what he'll be doing - USA Today
Billy Bush is joining Fox News Media as a contributor, returning to television with a new role that will have him covering culture and appearing across the company's platforms.
Fox News Media announced that Bush, 54, will debut on "Jesse Watters Primetime" at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 22. He will contribute across Fox News Media, while continuing to host his own program, "Hot Mics with Billy Bush."
"I'm excited to join FOX News Media and its loyal audience to share my perspective on the people, ideas and moments shaping today's culture…. as well as the ones trying to undo it!…" Bush said in a statement.
Bush has spent much of his career interviewing celebrities and reporting from major entertainment events. His new gig also comes after a highly publicized departure from NBC's "Today" nearly a decade ago. Following his exit, he spent several years working independently across entertainment, sports, politics and pop culture.

Bush will appear across Fox News Media's platforms as a contributor, according to the media company. His first appearance will be Tuesday night on "Jesse Watters Primetime".
Bush currently hosts "Hot Mics with Billy Bush," a digital show covering sports, politics, entertainment, technology and pop culture. He also hosted "Extra" from 2019 to 2025.
Before hosting "Extra," Bush co-hosted the third hour of NBC's "Today". He left the program in 2016 after a recording from his time at "Access Hollywood" became public amid Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
The recording captured Trump making lewd comments about women while speaking with Bush. The Washington Post reported on the recording, citing leaked information from NBCUniversal.
Bush was working at "Today" when the recording surfaced and was subsequently fired by NBC. He later returned to television and hosted "Extra" in 2019.
Bush's career has included appearances at some of television's biggest live entertainment events. He has covered the Golden Globes, Grammys and Academy Awards, as well as the Olympics for NBC from 2004 to 2016. He also reported live for NBC News from Prince William and Catherine Middleton's wedding.
Bush is a member of the Bush political family. He is the nephew of former President George H.W. Bush and the cousin of former President George W. Bush and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Before moving into television, Bush worked in radio, including at stations in New Hampshire and Washington, DC. His early radio career helped shape the improvisational style he later brought to entertainment television.
