BJP chief Nitin Nabin reviews organisational activities in western UP ahead of Assembly polls

BJP national president Nitin Nabin arrived in Saharanpur on Tuesday (September 22, 2026) to review the party’s organisational activities in western Uttar Pradesh and to hold meetings with party leaders and functionaries as part of his two-day visit to the state ahead of next year’s Assembly elections.
“On the second and final day of his visit, Mr. Nabin is scheduled to meet former BJP MPs, former legislators and former members of the Legislative Council from western UP to take feedback on the political and electoral situation in the region,” former MP Raghav Lakhan Pal Sharma said.
“He will subsequently meet state and regional office-bearers as well as district presidents, district in-charges and district general secretaries,” Mr. Sharma said.
“The meetings are expected to cover the current organisational situation, booth-level activities and preparations for the Assembly polls,” he said.
“Mr. Nabin’s visit is part of the BJP’s preparations for the 71 Assembly constituencies in western Uttar Pradesh, Sharma” said.
Mr. Nabin was accorded a welcome by party leaders and workers at several places, including Nagal, Kolki toll plaza and Grade Resort. Roads along his route were decorated with hoardings and banners.
Mr. Sharma said party workers were enthusiastic about Nabin’s visit and that discussions would focus on strengthening the organisation and chalking out its future strategy.
