The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislative Assembly Chief Whip and MLA C. Adinarayana Reddy on Friday asserted that the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance would remain intact and emerge stronger, dismissing the YSR Congress Party’s hopes of a split in the coalition.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP State office, he said the alliance had secured public support in the recent local body elections and would strive to improve its performance in future elections by addressing organisational shortcomings.

He cautioned against comparing local body election results with those of general elections, pointing out that candidates’ personal influence, local grievances and lack of coordination among leaders could affect electoral outcomes. The alliance would identify and address these shortcomings, he said.

Targeting YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, he alleged that the former Chief Minister was criticising the coalition to remain politically relevant and obstructing development instead of respecting the people’s mandate. He asked Mr. Jagan to explain the CBI and Enforcement Directorate cases against him and demanded that the facts surrounding the murder of former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy be brought to light.

Mr. Adinarayana Reddy accused the previous YSRCP government of undermining the State’s development prospects by delaying the Amaravati capital and Polavaram irrigation projects. The coalition government was according priority to infrastructure development, investment promotion, renewable energy and industrial growth, he said.

Citing investment opportunities in aerospace and defence manufacturing at Puttaparthi, he said the sector could attract investments of around ₹15,000 crore.

Referring to the BJP’s performance in Jammalamadugu constituency, he said the party had won 19 councillor seats in Yerraguntla municipality and secured encouraging results in the MPTC elections.

The alliance aimed to put Andhra Pradesh on a stronger development path by 2029 and realise the vision of a developed State by 2047, he said.

BJP State spokesperson Shaik Baji and party leaders Sashi Bhushan Reddy and Rajesh Reddy were present.
