Black saree, gold jhumkas: Yami Gautam's look for National Film Awards ceremony

The timeless appeal of a traditional saree is what Yami Gautam trusted for the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony held in Gujarat on Tuesday.

The actress was honoured with the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for Article 370, which also won Best Feature Film at this year’s National Film Awards.

Her statement gold jhumkas, featuring ruby accents and intricate bird motifs, were the absolute showstoppers. She also added a gold ring to the look.

The actress is known for her simple yet elegant sartorial choices, and her National Film Awards look was no different.

President Droupadi Murmu presented the honours. Kartik Aaryan and Mammootty jointly won Best Actor for Chandu Champion and Bramayugam ,respectively, while veteran actor Anant Nag was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
