Boy Victim of Bullying in Grobogan Briefly Lost Consciousness, Suspect Has Been Detained
GROBOGAN, KOMPAS.com - A boy identified by the initials SP was reportedly a victim of bullying in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, to the point of losing consciousness.
The incident went viral after a 51-second video circulated widely on social media.
In the footage, SP is seen lying in a dried irrigation canal, purportedly assaulted by a teenage boy.
Several other teenagers appear at the scene, recording the event on their mobile phones.
At the end of the video, some youths seem to try to intervene after the victim appears to lose consciousness.
The Head of Grobogan Policeβs Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Taufik Frida Mustofa, stated that the victim is currently in good condition after undergoing medical examination.
"According to medical personnel or doctors, the victim's condition is currently good.
To ensure his health comprehensively, we will also conduct further medical check-ups," Taufik said.
Information gathered indicates that SP is a student at a Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Grobogan Regency.
The suspect, identified as GN, is also an MTs student.
Both live in the Wirosari District and come from neighboring villages.
The police report states the incident occurred at an irrigation canal in Tanjungrejo Village, Wirosari District, on Thursday (9/10/2026) around 5 p.m.
The case was reported to Wirosari Police Sector the day after the incident.
