Broncos' 2nd-year pass rusher trending up: 'Nobody can block him' - Broncos Wire

The Denver Broncos might have a breakout candidate at outside linebacker this fall.

Que Robinson (6-4, 243 pounds), who was picked by the Broncos in the fourth round of last year's NFL draft out of Alabama and impressed in his limited playing time as a rookie, is set to get more snaps in Year 2.

“Que is obviously a very talented guy," Broncos pass rusher Nik Bonitto said in August. "He’s showing out every day in practice. He has all the tools, and whenever he sets his mind to it, nobody can block him. He’s been playing really well right now, and I’m excited especially to see these next couple of games what he does out there. I know he’s going to put on a show for sure.”

With Jonathon Cooper on the commissioner's exempt list and ineligible to play, Bonitto and Jonah Elliss will serve as the team's starters going into the 2026 season. Robinson and Dondrea Tillman will rotate in behind them, and there will be plenty of snaps to go around between the four pass rushers.

“The guy I’ve been super impressed with, and I’ve told him, is Que Robinson," Denver tight end Evan Engram said last week when asked which defensive player made the biggest improvement this offseason. "He’s been a force all camp. There have been a couple of times I’ve been in pass protection, and he’s lined up across and I’ve had to bring it and lock in. He’s definitely growing as a player, and he has a bright future ahead of him for sure.”

Elliss is poised to start in the place of Cooper, but Robinson will be another key player to watch early in the season. The Broncos are set to open the campaign on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 14.
