On 30 September 2026, Mr. Winij Wisesuwanphoom, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office and spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance, stated that the State Welfare Committee for Grassroots Economic and Social Development (the Committee), during its 12/2026 meeting on 29 September 2026, approved the eligibility review results for the 2026 State Welfare Card registration project review round. This round allowed those who initially failed to apply for reconsideration from 17 July to 31 August 2026. Out of 5.01 million applicants, 1.75 million passed the review. The results were announced on 30 September 2026 from 06:00 via four main channels:

4. Five registration units at banks

Eligible recipients can begin using their benefits from 1 October 2026 onward by completing identity verification (e-KYC) via the Paotang app and at Krungthai Bank until 12 January 2027, or at BAAC, Government Savings Bank, GHB, and Islamic Bank of Thailand until 14 October 2026 (this applies only to new cardholders who must verify their identity).

Applicants who did not qualify for the 2026 project can participate in the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40)" program by confirming their eligibility via the Paotang app from 1 to 15 October 2026, provided they meet the program criteria.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Finance recognizes the importance of continuously supporting all population groups and has coordinated with related agencies, such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and the Ministry of Interior, to integrate data. This integration will lead to appropriately targeted welfare allocation in a tiered manner.

Mr. Winij added that the 2026 program currently covers a total of 11.25 million beneficiaries. This new registration round expanded outreach to those previously missed in databases from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and the Ministry of Interior, including proactive nationwide field screening. This enabled the government to update and comprehensively screen data, identifying an additional 2.66 million low-income people facing genuine hardship.
