Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is organizing an event called "Scheduled Drop-off, Scheduled Pickup for Large Waste"taking place on Saturday, 31 October, and Sunday, 1 November 2026, covering 22 districts. This aims to assist residents in Bangkok to dispose of broken items, old furniture, and unused electrical appliances free of charge, promoting waste separation.

Residents in designated areas can place their large waste at designated spots in front of their homes before 8:30 a.m. Officials and district vehicles will collect the waste from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the specified days.

It is recommended that residents wanting to dispose of large waste sort the items beforehand, such as furniture, electrical appliances, or sports equipment over 1 meter long. Cut them into smaller pieces if heavy, and bundle small items neatly. Bring ID cards for verification (electricity or water bills can be used instead).

1. Bring waste to designated collection points2. Present proof of identity to confirm ownership3. Officials will handle transporting the waste to disposal sites free of charge

If you have a large amount of bulky waste and live far from the scheduled collection points, you can contact the cleaning and public parks department of any district office to request service for a fee according to government regulations. Scan the QR CODE to contact the cleaning department of all 50 districts.

Warning: Improper disposal obstructs Bangkok's drainage system and is punishable under the Cleanliness Act with a fine of 2,000 baht if waste is discarded outside containers or designated areas.. Ifwaste is dumped into waterways, a fine of 10,000 baht applies under Criminal Code Section 380.

For those interested in the "Scheduled Drop-off, Scheduled Pickup for Large Waste" project by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on 31 October - 1 November, be sure to prepare and check your district’s collection points nearby to use this free service.
