The China-Island Countries Ocean Cooperation Forum took place in Pingtan, Fujian Province on November 3 to 4. Under the theme "Building Harmonious Islands and Sharing Blue Prosperity", the forum brought together government officials, representatives of international organizations, and experts and scholars from more than 20 countries to discuss sustainable marine development.

Participants touched upon issues including resilient coastlines, island ecological protection and blue economic connectivity. For island nations facing rising seas and extreme weather, China is showcasing its progress in marine disaster prevention and island construction, while also pushing for a stronger blue partnership network.
