It shows obstacles faced by Chinese authorities in pursuing criminal networks and scam groups operating in northern Myanmar across the border.

Chinese authorities said earlier this year that judicial proceedings against two out of the four main criminal syndicates had been concluded, while noting that major scam groups in northern Myanmar had been dismantled in November 2024.
