Chintan Shivir day 1: PM Modi interacts with ministers in 8 groups at Seva Teerth

The first day of the two-day Chintan Shivir of the Union Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Seva Teerth in New Delhi, concluded on Wednesday after around four-and-a-half hours of deliberations.

The discussions focused particularly on the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, with ministers deliberating on the government's long-term roadmap and priorities for achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047, sources said.

Ministers from several ministries made presentations on the work undertaken by their respective ministries, key achievements and future plans. The presentations were aimed at reviewing ongoing initiatives and discussing the roadmap for the coming years in line with the broader Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.

A key feature of the Chintan Shivir was Prime Minister Modi's interaction with ministers during the deliberations.

According to sources, the ministers were divided into eight groups, with each group seated around a separate table for discussions. Prime Minister Modi personally went to each of the eight tables and interacted with the ministers in the respective groups.

His interactions focused on the issues and ideas being discussed, giving ministers an opportunity to directly engage with him as part of the brainstorming exercise.

The format was designed to facilitate focused discussions and greater interaction rather than a conventional Cabinet meeting, with different groups discussing specific areas and presenting their perspectives and future plans.

The Chintan Shivir is part of the government's broader exercise to deliberate on long-term governance priorities and align the work of different ministries with the Viksit Bharat@2047 objective.
