Chloe San Jose hits back at criticism over Angelica Yulo: 'I will never let anyone step on me' - GMA Network

Chloe San Jose has clapped back at a netizen who said that she should stay silent instead of disrespecting Carlos Yulo’s mother, Angelica.

On Facebook, a user named The Anxiety Nurse wrote, “Never let anyone disrespect your own mother."

“It’s okay if you two don’t get along. I just hope Chloe will keep quiet about it. Even if older people are sometimes wrong, you still need to show respect to your partner’s parents. That is what class, character, and decency are all about,” the netizen added in mixed English and Filipino.

In response, Chloe said that Angelica should also practice “respect.”

“If she only showed respect, I would’ve given her 10x more respect back,” she said.

"You’re too used to being the ‘bigger person,’ well, don’t apply that to me,” she added.

Chloe also said that standing up for herself is her way of “girl power.”

“I will never let anyone step on me, and that, I think, is [classier], shows more character, independence, and decency towards myself, and demonstrates courage,” she said.

On Instagram, Chloe hinted at a rift between Angelica and Carlos’ brother, Eldrew.

“Their mom did to Eldrew what she did to Carlos back then, so you can just put two and two together,” Chloe wrote in Filipino after a netizen asked about the issue.

In a March episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Carlos and Chloe spoke openly about marriage after the latter discovered that the former had already been looking at engagement rings.

The couple has been together since 2020.
