CII Mysuru conclave to focus on smart manufacturing, emerging sectors

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru zone will organise the CII Mysuru Annual Manufacturing and Technology Conclave-2026 at Hotel IBIS Styles here on Thursday to deliberate on smart manufacturing, emerging technologies and opportunities for strengthening Mysuru’s manufacturing ecosystem.

The conclave, themed “Smart manufacturing. Emerging sectors. Global competitiveness,” will bring together industry leaders, manufacturing professionals, technology experts, policymakers, academicians, innovators and representatives of MSMEs.

The discussions will focus on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 5.0 to improve productivity, quality, operational efficiency and cost competitiveness. The participants will also deliberate on developing future-ready manufacturing capabilities.

Emerging opportunities in aerospace, defence, medical devices and Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) will be among the key areas of discussion, with focus on advanced manufacturing, indigenisation, precision engineering and integration with domestic and global value chains.

A dedicated session will examine Mysuru’s manufacturing ecosystem, emerging opportunities and priorities required to position the city as a competitive manufacturing hub, according to a press release.

The conclave will have sessions on AI, automation, Industry 5.0 and sustainability; business excellence and productivity; emerging manufacturing opportunities in aerospace, defence, medical devices and ESDM; manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness towards 2030; and the future of manufacturing in Mysuru, the release added.

CII Karnataka State Council Vice-Chairman and Schevaran Laboratories Managing Director Sam Cherian, CII Mysuru Zone Chairman Utsav Agarwal, Past Chairman Pavan Ranga, Immediate Past Chairman Nagaraja Gargeshwari and CII Karnataka Manufacturing Panel Convenor Tabrez Ahmed are among the speakers. The inaugural session will commence at 9.30 a.m. at the venue.
