DC, AC offices to guide citizens as officials move to petrol pumps
Karachi administration has moved to help motorists access the government's petrol subsidy, ordering help desks at deputy commissioner offices and directing assistant commissioners to be physically present at petrol pumps to guide citizens through the process.
Assistant commissioners have been directed to visit petrol pumps and personally facilitate citizens seeking the subsidy. They will also oversee traffic and crowd management to minimise inconvenience. Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi issued the directives, with several deputy commissioners informing him on Friday that help desks had already been established at their offices.
Under the plan, banners carrying information about the subsidy will be displayed at petrol pumps, while citizens will be briefed on how to claim the relief. Guidance desks will also be established at assistant commissioner offices to provide information and assistance.
