A video from outside the theatre shows Sangeetha and Divya arriving at the venue ahead of the first-day-first-show of Sigma. Their appearance came as Jason marked an important milestone with his first film as a director.
At 25, Jason has made his directorial debut with Sigma, which stars Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles. The film marks his first major step behind the camera.
Jason is the son of Tamil superstar-turned-politician Vijay, who is currently the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Towards the end of his speech, Jason expressed his gratitude to his mother, father and sister.
“I would like to thank my mother. I would like to thank my father, who is the Chief Minister today. And I would like to thank my dear sister Divya,” he said.
