College football rankings after Week 3: Updated US LBM Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 - USA Today

No. 9 Mississippi football is set to jump in the rankings after taking down No. 7 LSU and former coach Lane Kiffin 32-24 at home on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss looked like the Heisman Trophy front runner against his former coach, passing for 363 yards with two touchdowns to an interception. He also rushed for the game-sealing touchdown in the upset over the Tigers.

No. 8 Texas A&M was upset by unranked Kentucky 31-21 at home, which will result in a tumble in the rankings. No. 10 Alabama and No. 11 USC survived scares against Florida State and Rutgers, respectively.

Unranked Louisville also secured a big win over No. 16 SMU, as the Cardinals offense continued to hum in their 41-31 win over the Mustangs in Week 3.
