Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has said they have set a goal to complete the construction of the Ring Road around Banaganapalle town by December this year.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy inspected the construction works of the Banaganapalle Ring Road along with officials on Sunday (September 20, 2026), braving the rain. He examined the ongoing work on the stretch from the Saibaba Temple to Ravvalakonda and inquired about the progress and the work completed so far.
Officials informed the Minister that approximately 80% of the Ring Road construction has already been completed. Mr. Janardhan Reddy said that the target is to finish the project spanning 10.68 km with an estimated cost of ₹56 crore by December.
He directed officials to accelerate the remaining work and ensure completion within the stipulated deadline.
The Minister noted that the completion of the Ring Road would provide a permanent solution to the ever-increasing traffic problems in Banaganapalle town. He highlighted that providing an alternative route for heavy vehicles would reduce traffic congestion in the town and make commuting much easier for the public.
The Minister also inspected the major junctions within Banaganapalle town. The Minister inquired with officials about the causes of traffic congestion and discussed about the measures to address severe traffic issues and strategies for streamlining vehicular movement.
He instructed officials to implement necessary steps to ensure the public does not face any inconvenience. Mr. Janardhan Reddy said the coalition government is prioritising the development of essential infrastructure for the town of Banaganapalle.
He noted that the completion of the ring road would not only provide better road connectivity for the town but also facilitate easier traffic management to meet future needs.
