Couple's unapologetic attitude after being caught with railway bedsheets in suitcase
A couple was caught with railway bedsheets stuffed inside their suitcase at a railway station, but the woman’s unapologetic justification for taking them left the man confronting her stunned. She claimed they had taken the bedsheets because a railway ticket checker had charged them extra money.
A video of the incident showed the woman’s husband opening his suitcase on the platform and taking out railway bedsheets that were still in their wrappers. The woman, who was carrying a child, was seen speaking to the man who confronted them.
When questioned about the bedsheets, the woman pointed at the man confronting them and rudely claimed, “Aapko bataaya maine ki aisa kyun kiya humne. Humse extra amount liya gaya hai (I told you why we did this. We were charged an extra amount).”
When the man asked who had taken the extra money, she alleged, “TC ne (The TC did.)”
The confrontation continued as the man told her that she should not have taken the bedsheets. Rather than expressing regret, the woman pointed out that they were returning them: “Hum aapko waapas de rahe hain na (We are returning them to you, aren’t we)?”
The woman’s husband, however, appeared to smile during the confrontation. He took the bedsheets out of the suitcase and returned them, while also requesting the man recording the video to switch off the camera.
“Aisa kabhi karna mat (Never do this again),” the man told the woman.
An X account shared the video and alleged that the couple had stolen the railway bedsheets.
“And just look at those smiles. They were caught red-handed, yet there’s not even a trace of remorse on their faces,” the post said.
The video drew criticism from social media users, with one commenting, “Even after getting caught, she is scolding the guy who caught her stealing.”
“These people should be put in prison for a week,” a comment read.
