Cyberattack-hit GMO sharing information with police - NHKニュース
Japan's GMO Internet Group says it has obtained and shared information with the police that could help identify the hackers who breached its cloud services.
The major provider of internet and financial services announced last week that its cloud services for currency trading and other transactions had been breached by unauthorized parties.
A group claiming responsibility said it posted the personal information of a GMO client on a website on Tuesday.
GMO is offering a reward for help in identifying the hackers. It said it had received 321 items of information as of 6 p.m. on Thursday.
The company's own white-hat hacker team is also tracking the group.
GMO plans to continue sharing what appears to be credible information with its partners and the police to prevent the damage from spreading further.
