Davante Adams recalls Dez Bryant showing him 'a lot of love' during career - Rams Wire

As one of the more veteran players in the NFL, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams has played against a lot of top football players. A pillar at his position for over a decade, Adams has earned acclaim from teammates and opponents alike.

This week, Adams was asked if a player told him that they studied his tape. The All-Pro used that question to mention that during his playing days, fellow All-Pro Dez Bryant showed love to him and the two formed a friendship that has carried on to this day.

“Probably pretty early [in my career]," said Adams. "I think probably within my first contract, definitely still at that point. They were some veteran receivers too. Guys like me who study and try to take a little bit from different people and create something that works for them. I have a lot of love from Dez Bryant. That was one of my idols coming into this thing and somebody that I'm decently close with now. I just talked to him actually yesterday too.

"There have been guys that are younger than me, older than me. It's just been a mix and I do the same. I like to let people know. I feel like it's our responsibility as players to report accurately on this and let people know on the outside or get our inspiration from the right places. Obviously, if guys are saying that they watch my tape, it means that they know and love ball. I'm the same way."

Adams continues to show love to the various pass catchers around the league, while still remaining one of the top receivers in the game today.
