Derrick Henry has 301 rushing yards and six touchdowns in three games as the Baltimore Ravens host the Tennessee Titans as 11.5-point favorites.

If this season has taught me anything about sports betting, it is that you should never be too confident in wagers. I have had a really tough start to the season – but I had the same start to the college season and have turned that around. You can’t be hung up on opinions of teams, and need to recognize that maybe you were wrong about certain squads.

Hopefully, I’ve formed a good opinion about the Titans and Ravens for today’s game.

The Tennessee Titans are 0-3, one of the worst teams in football. We knew this was likely to be the case this year because the team hasn’t looked good in a few years and is still in the middle of a rebuild. Do they have the quarterback of the future? I’m somewhat questioning that with Cam Ward. For the season, Ward has completed 55-of-88 passes for 504 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. They got him a top receiving option in the offseason, and he has hauled in 13 receptions, but for just 123 yards.

Perhaps we need to see Ward under center with a line that can protect him to really judge it. In fairness, they’ve only allowed five sacks this season. The Ravens have six sacks this year, so we will see if they can add to that total. The Ravens overall are about average in both the running game and passing attack, which opens the playbook a bit for the Titans to try anything they want to do on offense.

The Baltimore Ravens have had a very interesting three weeks. In Week 1, they looked like the best team in the league, racking up yards and points over and over. They scored 41 points against the Colts and made it seem like Indianapolis couldn’t stop anything. New Orleans deflated that thought a bit in Week 2. They were able to score a late touchdown to give the Saints a win over the Ravens. In some ways, it felt more like Baltimore lost than New Orleans won.

Last week, the Ravens played in Brazil against the Cowboys. This was another back-and-forth game, and one that also felt like Dallas losing rather than the Ravens winning. Perhaps that’s a bit harsh considering Baltimore was winning most of the game. The Ravens' defense is a bit concerning overall, but their offense has looked good. Baltimore is facing a bottom-10 defense as the Titans are allowing 126.3 yards per game on the ground. However, their passing defense has been surprisingly good, ranked seventh in the league.

Teams coming back from international travel without a bye week are 11-6 overall and just 9-8 against the spread. They are also 10-7 to the over on the total. This could be a blowout for Baltimore, but asking them to cover 11.5 is a pretty big ask. I do lean toward the Titans, but I am going with a prop instead.

Derrick Henry has been outstanding this season. He has 301 yards and six touchdowns in three games this season. I do expect the Titans to try and load the box a bit, but that really doesn’t matter with Henry running. He can find a way. I’m taking over 92.5 rushing yards from him here. I’d recommend touchdown props on him, but I don’t particularly like any of the lines on any of them.
