An awareness session on “Digital Tourism - Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism” was held at Araku Valley Women’s Degree College on Monday as part of the Tourism Week celebrations in Alluri Sitharama Raju district.

District Tourism Officer Pattasi Chalapathi Rao sensitised students to the ASR District Tourism website and QR code-based access to information on tourist destinations and tourism services. A live demonstration showed students how to scan the QR code using mobile phones and access the website.

The session also covered the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools for tourism-related content, short videos, digital storytelling and multilingual content. College Principal Kusuma Kumari appreciated the district administration’s initiative to use technology for promoting tourism..
