Diljit creates history with 92,000 fans at Wembley; beats Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift

Singer Diljit Dosanjh has added another major milestone to his growing list of global achievements. The Punjabi singer performed to a packed Wembley Stadium in London on September 12, drawing an estimated crowd of 92,000 fans. The massive turnout places Diljit among the biggest music artists who have performed at Wembley. His reported 92,000-strong audience puts him ahead of several major artists when their individual concert attendances at Wembley are compared, including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Michael Jackson.

The landmark show also made him the first Indian artist to headline the iconic London venue.

Between June 20 and 23, 2024, Taylor Swift took over Wembley Stadium for three nights as part of her Eras Tour. Each show drew a crowd of 89,000 fans. Diljit's estimated 92,000-strong crowd therefore puts him ahead of Swift by around 3,000 people when comparing attendance at a single Wembley show.
