Telangana Rakshana Sena chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha alleged a direct nexus between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and BRS MLA Harish Rao, claiming that the government was ignoring the illegal transfer of 100 acres of land listed under the prohibited category (22A) in Siddipet into the names of Mr. Harish Rao’s father and other family members.
In a statement here, she challenged the Chief Minister to order an enquiry and take action against Mr. Harish Rao, adding that she was willing to hand over all the clear evidence. She asked whether Mr. Revanth Reddy and Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had the courage to take immediate action against Mr. Harish Rao and “not secretly colluding with him.”
Expressing anguish over recent Assembly proceedings, Ms. Kavitha criticised both the ruling and Opposition parties for turning a platform meant for solving public problems into a battleground for personal insults. She faulted BRS leaders for neglecting public issues, asking whether they only cared to attend the Assembly when they were in power.
She pointed out that when BRS leaders were suspended from the Assembly, they failed to voice concerns in the Legislative Council and instead staged a walkout.
