Dolphins bring back young WR who had a stellar training camp - Dolphins Wire

With the Miami Dolphins having one of the thinnest rosters in the NFL this season, they've been making frequent changes to the bottom of the 53-man roster and as well as the practice squad early this season.

Just two days after signing long snapper Luke Basso to the practice squad, they've released him and are signing wide receiver AJ Henning to take his spot.

Henning should be a familiar name to Dolphins fans, as he spent the 2025 season on their practice squad after a collegiate career split between Michigan and Northwestern. The 25-year-old also spent the offseason with Miami this year and really seemed to have a strong training camp and preseason with the team.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins waived Henning during final roster cuts at the end of August.

Miami needs someone to step up at wide receiver, and with the lack of production from the passing game, they may be willing to give Henning a shot to contribute, especially after he impressed at points this summer.
