Dudung Takes Oath as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs - Tempo.co English
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated TNI General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman as the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam), succeeding Djamari Chaniago, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube broadcast, the inauguration ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem, "Indonesia Raya," followed by the reading of Presidential Decree Number 104 P of 2026 regarding the dismissal and appointment of ministers and deputy ministers of the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024–2029 term.
After that, Dudung took the oath of office, administered by President Prabowo Subianto.
"That I will be loyal to and steadfastly uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and will faithfully execute all laws and regulations in the service of the nation and the State. That in carrying out my official duties, I will uphold professional ethics and perform my work to the best of my ability and with a full sense of responsibility," he said, as quoted by ANTARA.
Then, the inauguration ceremony continued with Dudung signing the official record, followed by President Prabowo. President Prabowo then congratulated Dudung and the other state officials who were sworn in today.
Dudung previously served as the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP). Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo subsequently filled the position.
In addition to Dudung, other state officials inaugurated by the President at the State Palace today include Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto as National Police Chief; Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Presidential Chief of Staff; Sugiono as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs; Sarmuji as Minister of Industry; Arrmanatha Nasir as Minister of Foreign Affairs; Police Commissioner General Dedy Prasetyo as Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency; and Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition.
The inauguration ceremony for several state officials today is part of the latest cabinet reshuffle—the seventh during the two-year tenure of President Prabowo's administration.
The ceremony was attended by several state officials, including the coordinating ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
