A 24-year-old Zepto delivery agent was allegedly assaulted by a customer following an argument over the delivery location in Karkhana on Saturday evening.
The delivery agent, Ashish, had gone to deliver an order around 7 p.m. when the customer, identified as Ajay Kumar, 35, allegedly asked him to come to a different location, saying he was not at home.
Ashish reportedly refused and asked the customer to contact him when he was available at the delivery address. This led to a verbal altercation between the two over the phone.
Police said Ashish subsequently went to the customer’s residence to complete the delivery, where another altercation broke out. The delivery agent was allegedly assaulted and suffered a minor bleeding injury to his head.
Following the incident, both Ashish and Ajay Kumar approached Karkhana police station with complaints. Police registered a case in connection with the alleged assault and further investigation is underway.
