ESPN predicts a Super Bowl title for Raiders in short order - Raiders Wire

The Las Vegas Raiders have initiated a rebuild that has the team already looking like a much better unit in year one under new coach Klint Kubiak. Kirk Cousins has played well under center, the offensive line is improved, and defensive coordinator Rob Leonard has galvanized his unit and gotten energetic, effective play out of many of his players, making the team’s current foundation a great one to build on and project for the future.

ESPN’s Ben Solak predicted that the Raiders will win the Super Bowl in 2029 after successfully forming a contending roster.

”It's tough to make a list of coaches who have called a better offense since the start of last season than Klint Kubiak. There are candidates -- the Rams' Sean McVay, 49ers' Kyle Shanahan, Bears' Ben Johnson and Jaguars' Liam Coen -- but Kubiak is in that tier. In fact, over the past three seasons -- including as coordinator of the 2024 Saints -- Kubiak has made the most of incomplete rosters and imperfect quarterbacks. When he does get his hands on an elite player, such as Jaxon Smith-Njigba, he knows how to get the most out of his star talent.”

The Raiders have Fernando Mendoza waiting to take over as the team’s starting quarterback, and there is much to like in his game as a potential franchise QB. Ashton Jeanty and Mike Washington Jr. have the talent to form an offensive backfield in Las Vegas with two running backs capable of rushing for 1,000 yards, while Brock Bowers stands as perhaps the best tight end in the NFL.

With an improved offensive line and many talented young prospects in their secondary, including Jermod McCoy, Hezekiah Masses, and Treydan Stukes, the Raiders have the tools to have another successful draft in 2027, and bring in more veteran talent the caliber of Tyler Linderbaum and Taron Johnson, to turn into contenders again as quickly as next season. From there, a Super Bowl win in the short-term will become feasible.
