Everyone needs to take a deep breath about Seahawks RB Jadarian Price - Seahawks Wire
It's undeniably been a bad few weeks for Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price. The 32nd overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft got his first taste of adversity in Week 2. Price lost a fumble in the victory over the Arizona Cardinals, and also exited the contest with a chest injury.
Price recovered to rejoin the lineup in Week 3, but failed to maximize the opportunity. The former Notre Dame standout lost a fumble for a second consecutive week. He was limited to five carries for 15 yards.
The Seahawks essentially benched Price after his fumble versus the Commanders. Following the cough-up, he didn't log his next carry for nearly two complete quarters. Head coach Mike Macdonald wasn't as forgiving after Price committed turnovers in consecutive games.
Price has to sort through these ball security issues immediately. The first-year back has looked like Seattle's most explosive runner. Unfortunately, that doesn't matter if you keep fumbling the football away.
The Seahawks must remain patient with Price's development. He lost four fumbles in limited action at Notre Dame, so ball security was a minor issue coming out of college. There's obvious room for improvement, so we'll monitor how Price handles this adversity.
