Egypt, Senegal and Algeria remain unbeaten, although all three dropped points after the second round of matches.

Ghana and Nigeria are among the established African sides already facing early pressure, while qualification races in Groups F, H, I and J remain finely poised after two rounds.

Matchday Two produced several eye-catching results, including Egypt’s 5-0 victory over South Sudan, South Africa’s identical scoreline against Eritrea and Guinea-Bissau’s stunning 3-0 win over Nigeria.
