COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Former Bangsamoro member of parliament Ali Balayman Sangki, the bet of the Al-Ittihad-Ungaya sa Kawagib Nu Bangsamoro, is currently leading the five-way race for the Bangsamoro parliamentary seat of the 3rd District of Maguindanao del Sur.

He has received 63,096 of the votes so far, according to 94.51% of total election returns as of September 14, 10:59 pm, Monday, September 14.

His closest competitor is engineer Habbas Sabpa Camendan, the bet of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front’s United Bangsamoro Justice Party. He only has 11,253 votes, making it impossible to catch up.

Trailing the races are independent candidate Borgiva Tasmi Datumanong, Bangsamoro Party bet Datu Edo Mamasapano Upam, and Bangsamoro Federalist Party representative Daud Baknal Upam.

Sangki was a regional parliament member from 2019 to 2025. – Rappler.com
