CEO Jamie Dimon said the banking giant’s China-related business, measured by factors including client volume, has grown sharply over the past decade – and would likely continue to rise at a comparable rate.
“We bank 300 or 400 companies – Chinese companies in China – and that number has probably doubled in the last 10 years,” the Wall Street veteran said on Wednesday in an exclusive interview during a visit to Hong Kong. “It’s probably gonna double again in the next 10 years.”
Dimon first came to Hong Kong about 30 years ago, and he has also travelled to Shanghai several times to chair the bank’s annual China conference.
