The families of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane are hoping justice will be served as the murder trial finally gets underway on Monday.

The families of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane are hoping justice will be served as the murder trial finally gets underway on Monday.

It’s been more than three years since the pair was shot outside a popular restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road.

The trial is scheduled to run from Monday until 6 November at the Durban High Court.

Seven men stand accused of orchestrating and participating in the murder.

Forbes’ father, Tony, said, “I feel satisfied that the work has been done and that we at the point to move forward. I am anxious about what I’m going to see and what I’m going to hear, but it is something that we have to go through. The people responsible for what happened to my son and Tibz, they have to be held accountable.”
