Police have confirmed the identification of another woman whose body was found along the R21 in Kempton Park, bringing the number of formally identified victims in the wider Ekurhuleni investigation to four.

Twenty-eight-year-old Gracious Nkomo was found partially clothed on 10 September, and her family identified her today at the Germiston Mortuary.

Her identification comes as police continue to investigate the deaths of nine women across the East Rand, with some of the cases now believed to have possible links.

Nkomo was the third woman to be found along the R21 in Kempton Park on 10 September.

Her family has now been able to put a name to one of the victims who had remained unidentified until today.

This brings to four the number of women who have now been identified in the wider investigation.

Another person of interest is being pursued by investigators, while one suspect linked to the first murder in July remains in custody.
