Fire breaks out at Delhi warehouse, 12 fire tenders rushed; no injuries reported

A fire broke out at a plywood warehouse in Dallupura, East Delhi, on Sunday afternoon, sending thick black fumes into the sky.

The fire department received a call about the blaze at 3.20 pm, following which 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Firefighters were present at the site and were working to control the blaze.

No one was reported trapped inside the warehouse, according to the information available so far.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be ascertained.

The Dallupura fire came on the same day as another warehouse fire in Swaroop Nagar, Delhi.

The fire broke out on the ground and first floors of a building housing a factory that manufactured judo dresses and boxing gloves, police said.

While no one was injured directly due to the fire, six people, including women and children, jumped from another building across the street in panic and sustained injuries. They were taken to a hospital and were said to be out of danger.
