Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has sent his blessings to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh after the couple welcomed their second child, another baby girl. The Dhurandhar director shared his happiness in the comments section of their announcement post, saying the family now has another little angel.

Deepika and Ranveer announced the arrival of their second daughter on Saturday, September 19. The couple shared a picture of a tiny footprint on Instagram along with the words, “Welcome baby girl. 19/9/2026. Dua, Deepika, Ranveer.” The announcement confirmed that their elder daughter, Dua, is now a big sister.

“Pehle Lakshmi aayi, ab Saraswati bhi aa gayi!! So, so happy for you guys. Another little angel in the family. God bless her with all the love and happiness in the world (sic),” Aditya wrote.

Aditya was among several Bollywood celebrities who rushed to congratulate the couple. Vicky Kaushal wrote, “God bless! Congratulations.” Alia Bhatt reacted with red heart, evil eye, sun and dancing emojis, while Kriti Sanon wrote, “Awww!! Congratulations, you guys!!! Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing.”

Anil Kapoor also celebrated the news, writing, “Congratulations, girls are the best.” Riteish Deshmukh sent his love to both sisters, while Sonam Kapoor called the moment “a dream”. Ayushmann Khurrana added his blessings, and Farah Khan wrote, “Blessed are those who have 2 daughters. Deepika wore an orange and purple kurta set for the visit, while Ranveer opted for a purple kurta with white trousers. The couple had also recently shared pictures from their pregnancy shoot, hinting that their second baby was due soon.

Deepika and Ranveer first fell in love while working together on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. They got engaged secretly in 2015 and tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024.
