(Photo: Public Relations Department) Flooding continues to make life difficult for people in parts of Bangkok and 26 provinces, most in the Central Plain region, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported on Monday.

Flooding was reported in parts of Lampang, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lop Buri, Sing Buri, Chai Nat, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ang Thong, Saraburi, Ayutthaya, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Phetchaburi, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Buri Ram, Chaiyaphum, Surin and Bangkok.

Director-general Nirat Pongsitthithaworn said about 3.52 million people were affected.

Lampang – in Thoen district, affecting 15 families with the water level falling.Β 

Nakhon Sawan – floods affecting 10,905 families in 12 districts - Phayuha Khiri, Takhli, Paisalee, Lat Yao, Banphot Phisai, Kao Liaw, Muang, Chum Saeng, Tha Tako, Krok Phra, Chum Tabong and Nong Bua. The flood was receding.

Uthai Thani – flood levels were lower in Nong Chang, Huai Khot, Sawang Arom, Nong Kha Yang, Ban Rai, Lan Sak, Muang and Thap Than districts, but still affecting 4,785 families.

Lop Buri – flood receding in Ban Mi district, where 1,177 families were affected.

Chai Nat – four districts were flooded, namely Muang, Manorom, Wat Sing and Sapphaya. Flood levels were stable and 5,872 families were affected.

Sing Buri – 1,243 families faced rising floodwater in Muang, In Buri and Phrom Buri districts.

Suphan Buri – flood levels also rose and affected 28,453 families in Bang Pla Ma, Song Phi Nong, Don Chedi, Sri Prachan, Muang, Sam Chuk, Doem Bang Nang Buat, Dan Chang and Nong Ya Sai districts.

Kanchanaburi – floodwater was receding in Dan Makham Tia, Tha Muang, Tha Maka, Muang and Sangkhla Buri districts. Two people died and 1,073 families were affected.

Ang Thong – floods were rising in five districts of Pa Mok, Chaiyo, Wiset Chaichan, Muang and Sam Ko and 1,938 families were in trouble.

Saraburi – floodwater was declining in Muang, Nong Khae, Nong Saeng, Don Phut, Nong Don, Wihan Daeng and Ban Mor districts. One person died and 2,165 families were affected.

Ayutthaya – floods were deeper in Sena, Bang Ban, Phak Hai, Bang Sai, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Bang Pa-in, Bang Pahan, Lat Bua Luang, Uthai, Nakhon Luang, Wang Noi, Tha Rua, Phachi, Ban Phraek, Bang Sai and Maharat districts. One person died and 53,831 families were in trouble.

Samut Prakan – floods killed eight people, affected 223,346 families and were receding in Muang, Bang Sao Thong, Bang Phli, Bang Bo, Phra Pradaeng and Phra Samut Chedi districts.

Pathum Thani – floodwater was rising in Thanya Buri, Muang, Sam Khok, Khlong Luang, Lam Luk Ka, Nong Sua and Lat Lum Kaeo districts and affecting 246,818 families.

Nakhon Pathom – floods affected 21,488 families but levels were declining, in Nakhon Chaisi, Samphran and Bang Len districts.

Ratchaburi – floodwater troubled 17,230 families and was lower in Pho Tharam, Bang Phae, Dam Noen Saduak, Ban Pong, Wat Phleng, Chom Bung, Pak Tho and Suan Phueng districts.

Samut Songkhram – Muang, Amphawa and Bang Khonti districts saw lower flood levels while 22,357 families were affected.

Phetchaburi – flood levels were stable in Kaeng Krachan district and affected six families.

Nakhon Nayok – floods continued with stable levels in Pak Phli, Muang, Ban Na and Ongkharak districts and affected 53,928 families.

Prachin Buri – flooding killed seven people and was receding in Kabin Buri, Sri Maha Phot, Nadi, Muang, Prachan Takham, Ban Sang and Sri Mahosot districts.

Chachoengsao – floods were rising in Bang Nam Prieo, Phanom Sarakham, Bang Khla, Tha Takiab, Sanam Chai Ket, Plaeng Yao, Muang, Ban Pho, Bang Pakong, Khlong Khuean and Ratchasan districts and affected 63,071 families.

Chon Buri – floodwater was lower in Muang, Sattahip, Phanat Nikhom, Si Racha, Bang Lamung, Ban Bung, Nong Yai, Koh Chan, Phan Thong and Bo Thong districts and affected 118,723 families.

Rayong – flood levels were declining in Klaeng district where 360 families were affected.

Chanthaburi – floodwater was lower in Na Yai Am and Tha Mai districts where two people died and 7,000 families were affected.

Buri Ram – flood levels were declining in 63 villages in Chamni district.

Chaiyaphum – floodwater was lower in Phu Khieo and Chatturat districts where 81 families were affected.

Surin – flood levels were subsiding in 36 villages of Sangkha district.

Bangkok – flood levels were lower. About 329,000 families were affected and four people died.
