Food Safety officials seize 44 kg of unlabelled food in Narasaraopet

A day after inspecting eateries in Vijayawada, Food Safety officials in Andhra Pradesh continued their inspections, this time in Narasaraopet of Palnadu district.

Under the supervision of Food Safety Director P. Arun Babu, officials inspected kitchen hygiene, the quality of food and permissions of hotels and restaurants in Narasaraopet on Wednesday. The food inspectors seized 44 kg of unlabelled food products during the inspections.

Samples of several food products were sent to laboratories for testing. Cases were registered against RK Restaurant, Jupalli Spices Hotel, H6 Restaurant, Shaz Biryani Point and AK Biryani Point for various violations with regard to hygiene.
