'Forgotten Island' records P97M in sales on opening weekend in PH - GMA Network

“Forgotten Island” recorded a whopping P97 million in box-office receipts during its opening weekend in the Philippines.

The DreamWorks Animation film became the biggest opening weekend for Universal Pictures Philippines and also scored the biggest opening for a non-franchise animated film of all time.

On Rotten Tomatoes, “Forgotten Island” currently boasts of a Certified Fresh score of 95% and an audience score of 97%. It debuted on the film and TV review website at 100%.

Top-billed by Liza Soberano and H.E.R., the film follows two childhood best friends, Raissa and Jo, as they try to find their way home after ending up on a mysterious island called Nakali.

GMA News Online got to preview “Forgotten Island” ahead of its theatrical release, and the film is as fun and chaotic as any Filipino family reunion party.
