Four persons, including two women, died after being struck by lightning in separate incidents in Palnadu district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Talapaneni Nagamma, Mekala Venkayamma, Majjiga Chinna Koteswara Rao and Derangula Venkataiah.
The incidents occurred in Pitlurivaaripalem, Palapadu, Mopinivaaripalem and Lakshmipuram villages in Narasaraopet mandal.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the deaths and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families. He assured them of all possible assistance from the government.
