The fraud and corruption case against Ekurhuleni City Manager Kagiso Lerutla and suspended Metro Police Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi has been postponed to 3 November.
The fraud and corruption case against Ekurhuleni City Manager Kagiso Lerutla and suspended Metro Police Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi has been postponed to 3 November.
The pair is accused of colluding in a 2019 scheme to have a third person impersonate Lerutla in court after he was arrested for speeding.
The State alleges the impersonator was paid as part of a R400,000 deal facilitated by Mkhwanazi so that Lerutla could avoid appearing in court while attending a job interview.
