While the delay in the expected transfers at Galatasaray has sparked reactions among fans, the management has stepped up negotiations for a number 10 player. Although there hasn’t been a concrete move yet—other than the signing of Lesley Ugochukwu—activity has begun.

According to a report by Fanatik, Galatasaray plans to add both Can Uzun and Batrakov to the roster.

Since Can Uzun can play not only as a number 10 but also on the left wing and as a second striker, head coach Okan Buruk is insisting on signing him. The latest offer made to Frankfurt reached the 40 million euro mark. While the Bundesliga club has lowered its asking price from 60 million euros to the 50 million euro range, the transfer fee is expected to drop slightly further.

As for Batrakov, there is a high likelihood of reaching a successful conclusion this week. The 21-year-old Russian soccer player, who qualifies for the U23 quota, is ready to join Galatasaray, partly due to the Champions League factor.

While Lokomotiv Moscow rejected the initial 20 million Euro offer, Galatasaray has updated its proposal. As negotiations between the two clubs accelerate, sources indicate that a successful conclusion to the transfer is just a matter of time.

If these two transfers go through, it will free up a spot for Rafael Leao. The number 10 position issue will be resolved, and a starting spot—regardless of age—will be reserved for Leao.
