Gatorade sold in 37 states has been recalled. See list - USA Today
More than 120,000 cases of Gatorade sold across 37 states have been recalled after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the drinks contained undeclared food coloring that could pose a risk to some consumers.
The recall, classified by the FDA as a Class II recall on Oct. 2, includes 122,021 cases of 28-oz. bottles of Gatorade Lemon Lime, Gatorade Lemon Lime Zero, Gatorade Orange and Gatorade Orange Zero. PepsiCo initiated the recall on Sept. 25 because the products contain unlisted food colorings Yellow No. 5 and/or Yellow No. 6.
According to the FDA, a Class II recall is a situation in which use or exposure to a "violative product" may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
Here's what to know about the products being recalled and the states it was sold in.
