The new data estimates that 75% of pregnancies in South Africa are linked to low contraceptive use.
Spokesperson Steve Mabona said, βWe are encouraging women and girls of reproductive age to make use of the wide range of safe, effective and free contraceptive methods available at clinics. However, health care professionals are available to provide counselling and assist women to choose the most suitable contraceptive method.β
