GCash opens stock market investing to more Filipinos through GStocks PH - Rappler

GCash is making stock market investing more accessible through GStocks PH, an online stock trading platform integrated into the GCash app.

Powered by AB Capital Securities Inc. (ABSCI), GStocks PH allows users to trade shares of more than 280 companies listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange without leaving the GCash app.

The platform is designed to simplify the process for first-time investors, including opening a trading account through a guided application process.

Users can open an account by accessing the GCash dashboard, tapping the “Grow” tab, selecting “GStocks PH,” completing the required information and submitting the application.

Once the account is activated, users can buy and sell stocks through the GStocks PH dashboard.

For stock purchases, users select “Invest,” choose a stock and tap “Buy.” They can place a limit order, which sets the maximum price they are willing to pay per share, or a conditional order, which sets a trigger price that must be reached before the transaction is executed.

To sell, users select a stock, tap “Sell,” enter the price and number of shares, review the transaction through the “Preview Order” option and submit the order.

Users can monitor their transactions through the platform’s “Orders Page.”

GCash said GStocks PH is intended to bring stock market investing closer to everyday Filipino users by providing a guided and convenient way to start building a stock portfolio.

G-Xchange Inc., the operator of GCash, is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
