The annual convocation-cum-culmination ceremony 2026, along with the endowment and merit day, of the Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, was held on Monday. The function marked the institution’s 151th year in legal education.
Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan, who inaugurated the programme, said he is the fifth alumnus of the college to hold the office of the Chief Minister of Keralam. Citing his long legislative innings, Mr. Satheesan remarked that he had always made it a point to scrutinise every punctuation mark with great care, musing whether this habit of precision traced back to his grounding in legal education.
Health Minister K. Muraleedharan presided over the function. Former Kerala High Court judge M.R. Hariharan Nair delivered the keynote address. Supreme Court advocate G. Mohan Gopal, Kerala University Faculty of Law Dean Sindhu Thulaseedharan and college Principal in-charge Hameema M. also spoke on the occasion.
