The briefing follows national plans outlined by the Presidency.
This was sparked by the discoveries of 11 women’s bodies in the City of Ekurhuleni, with similar cases occurring in other regions.
Premier Panyaza Lesufi, along with Gauteng’s mayors, municipal managers and police units will meet before the 11am briefing to assess gaps in existing measures.
