Hailee Steinfeld has joked that she is convinced her six-month-old daughter, Harper, is a genius, because the baby has already started crawling.
The 29-year-old actress and singer made the comments on Live with Kelly and Mark on Thursday 5 November.Β
She said parents always think their child is a genius when they hit milestones on time. βYou will be convinced your child is a genius when theyβre doing everything right on track,β she said.
Applying that logic to Harper, she added: βBut sheβs crawling already! Sheβs gotta be a genius!βΒ
She also described her daughter as βa smart cookie,β and said Harper is βtotally on the move.β
Steinfeld shares Harper with her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, 30. She announced the birth in April in a Substack post titled βSpecial Delivery,β writing: βOur baby girl has arrived!!β
Allen has spoken about fatherhood too.Β
In July, he told E! News that the name Harper was βmy wifeβs ideaβ, and said she could explain any family significance better than he could.Β
He also told PEOPLE that he loves being a dad and that his sleep has changed since Harper arrived.
