Hanuman Ansh box office Day 42: Rs 80 crore in Week 6, film smashes Rs 310 crore
Hanuman Ansh continues to defy the usual rules of theatrical business with every passing day. The Shobhinaw Satyaa and Vihaan Shedge-starrer maintained its impressive momentum on Day 42, collecting Rs 6.25 crore nett (gross minus taxes) in India on Thursday, September 17. The spiritual drama registered a 4.2 per cent increase over its Day 41 collection of Rs 6 crore.
The bigger story, however, is its sixth-week run. Hanuman Ansh has already collected Rs 80.25 crore nett in Week 6, making the film's sustained theatrical performance one of the biggest talking points of its box-office journey. With its latest day's collection, the film has collected a massive Rs 309.15 crore worldwide.
According to trade website, Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh has so far collected Rs 243.38 crore nett in India, while its India gross stands at Rs 287.40 crore. The film has added Rs 21.75 crore from overseas markets, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 309.15 crore.
The film's Hindi 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 17.53 per cent on Thursday. Morning shows registered 7.92 per cent occupancy, which increased to 17.46 per cent in the afternoon. Evening shows recorded 22.08 per cent occupancy, while night shows registered 20.69 per cent.

The film's sixth-week numbers have been particularly striking. Hanuman Ansh began Week 6 with Rs 10.50 crore nett on Day 36. It then jumped to Rs 18.50 crore on Day 37 and Rs 22.50 crore on Day 38. The film subsequently collected Rs 8.25 crore each on Days 39 and 40, followed by Rs 6 crore on Day 41 and Rs 6.25 crore on Day 42.
That takes its Week 6 total to Rs 80.25 crore so far.
The film's weekly trajectory has been unusual. It opened with Rs 1.08 crore in Week 1 and collected just Rs 40 lakh in Week 2. But its fortunes changed dramatically as word of mouth strengthened. Week 3 brought in Rs 10.40 crore, followed by Rs 61 crore in Week 4 and a massive Rs 90.25 crore in Week 5.

The film's overseas business has also continued to contribute to its overall tally. Hanuman Ansh added Rs 1.50 crore in overseas gross on Day 42, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 21.75 crore. Combined with its India gross of Rs 287.40 crore, the film's worldwide gross currently stands at Rs 309.15 crore.
