Hanuman Ansh box office Day 50: Vvaan, Paradise bring fresh test in Week 7

Hanuman Ansh continued its strong theatrical run in its seventh week. The spiritual drama is holding steady at the box office even as Nani's The Paradise and Sidharth Malhotra's The Vvaan arrived in cinemas and added fresh competition.

Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, which tells the story of Neem Karoli Baba.

The film follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young man living in pre-Independence India. After the death of his mother, he leaves home in search of a spiritual path. His journey takes him across northern India and eventually leads to his transformation into the revered spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba.

On Day 50, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 3.35 crore nett across 3,767 shows. With this, the film's total India gross stands at Rs 344.35 crore, while its India nett has reached Rs 291.53 crore.

Overseas, the film added Rs 0.50 crore on Day 50, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 37.00 crore. Its worldwide gross now stands at Rs 381.35 crore.

In Week 7, Hanuman Ansh recorded an overall occupancy of 27.44 per cent. It opened with 10.15 per cent in the morning shows, rose to 22.62 per cent in the afternoon, went up to 31.46 per cent in the evening, and reached 40.23 per cent in the night shows.

At the same time, two new films arrived in cinemas this week. Nani's The Paradise, which released on September 24 with paid previews from September 23, collected Rs 98.50 crore in worldwide gross by Day 2. This included Rs 72.50 crore from India gross and Rs 26.00 crore from overseas, while its India nett collection stood at Rs 61.15 crore across 17,681 shows.

Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra's The Vvaan collected Rs 8 crore nett across 6,746 shows on Day 1. Its total India gross on the opening day stood at Rs 9.60 crore.

Talking about the Hanuman Ansh cast, Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, who later becomes Neem Karoli Baba. Chandan K Anand plays Ram Nandan Bhosale, while Nikhil Dubey, Anil Rastogi and Sugandha Malhotra appear as Sudhir, Mahant Ji and Sudhi respectively.
